SYNOPSIS :-

Arashi members Ninomiya Kazunari and Sakurai Sho star in this comedy series (based on a manga by Ai Morinaga). Yamada Taro (Ninomiya) is a scholarship student fully exempt from school fees at Ichinomiya Senior High School, an expensive private institution. He is high-achieving, intelligent, strikingly handsome, charismatic, athletic and seems perfect in every possible way…except for the fact that he is dirt poor and living in a shack!!! But because of his outward appearances, others mistakenly believe that the happy-go-lucky Taro comes from a prosperous family. Ikegami Takako (Tabe) is one of those girls—-in fact, she could be considered a prodigy at imagining fantasies and wishes for ‘tama no koshi’ (Japanese proverb for marrying into a rich family). She is convinced that Yamada Taro is her dream’s prince. In contrast, fellow classmate and friend Mimura Takuya (Sho) is actually from a wealthy family and helps out Taro in various ways.

Literally translated as “The Story of Yamada Taro,” this dorama humorously follows the wacky life of Yamada Taro as he optimistically tackles problems occurring because of his poverty and single-handedly raises his six adorable younger siblings. How does his sincere presence change the people surrounding him? That is part of the charm in this heartfelt comedy.
